The Manager in Training (MIT) position is a short-term transitional role that provides work assignments and training to prepare MITs for promotion into Retail/Commercial Store Management positions. Progression to a management role may occur within approximately 8-12 weeks, depending on experience and performance.
Responsibilities
* Live The Pledge, deliver WOW! Customer Service, and drive store performance.
* Support the Store Manager in overall store operations, including management, supervision, and policy implementation.
* Manage financials, analyze and reconcile monthly P&L statements.
* Oversee employee staffing, training, and development.
* Manage inventory and lead customer service efforts.
MITs are responsible for completing training and learning key aspects of the business and culture. Performance and progression are critical for continued consideration for management openings.
Requirements
* 1-2 years of retail management or supervisory experience.
* Ability to work a flexible full-time schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime.
* Bilingual skills are preferred but not required.
* Previous automotive experience and financial analysis skills are preferred but not required.
