Provide support to the Group Financial Controller in the production of management accounts, yearly budget setting, annual financial statements, Department for Education (DFE) returns, financial analysis and reconciliations. Recording and verification of fixed assets and acting as a point of contact for budget holders, supporting a high quality finance service for the college. This will include authorising bank payments as an electronic signatory for the college and subsidiary. Part Time of 30 hours per week 52 weeks per year can also be considered. Main Responsibilities and Duties: Produce monthly journals and account reconciliations, as directed by the Group Financial Controller, supporting the production of monthly management accounts for both the College and subsidiary companies, ensuring that compliance with financial procedures is maintained at all times. Consolidate Group Management Accounts reports, assisting with the monthly reconciliations, supporting the completion of the DFE financial returns for the College, preparing the year end schedules for the Statutory Accounts and processing budget adjustments for the College and subsidiaries as required. Liaise with the external auditors as required for the completion of financial statements and corporation tax returns and liaise with internal auditors on all financial related issues to improve systems and procedures within the College. Monthly reconciliations of payroll and control accounts on the College and subsidiary balance sheet, preparing variance analysis and reports for the Financial Controller and Budget holders, tracking project financials and updating forecasts. Maintenance of the asset register, depreciation calculations and asset location audits and pre approval of capital orders Attend budget holder meetings with managers with a focus on improved understanding of forecasting and support for budget holders.
