Project Manager Overview
We are working with a highly successful retailer who are looking for a Project Manager to join their Property team. This is a great opportunity to become part of a growing and forward-thinking retail business with strong career development opportunities.
In this role, you will oversee and deliver store fit-out projects across the UK, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Projects will include new store openings, refurbishments, and improvements across all store locations.
Project Manager Responsibilities;
1. Manage a range of property projects including new store openings, refurbishments, and roll-out programmes across the estate.
2. Conduct site surveys and feasibility assessments
3. Coordinate and manage contractors and suppliers, ensuring work meets required standards and timelines.
4. Lead site meetings, track progress, and ensure agreed actions are completed.
5. Oversee project planning activities to ensure all statutory approvals and regulatory requirements are met
6. Prepare and issue tender documentation for new store projects in line with company policy.
7. Analyse tender returns and recommend suitable contractors.
8. Define and cost refurbishment work, prepare project cost documentation, and ensure purchase orders are issued before site work begins.
9. Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle to ensure delivery within approved budgets.
10. Work closely with internal departments and external partners to ensure projects run smoothly.
11. Provide guidance and recommendations to internal teams regarding property and development matters.
12. Track project progress and produce regular status reports.
Additional Information
The Project Manager will be expected to travel across the UK to oversee projects and must have some previous experience in a similar rile, with strong decision making skills and excellent communication skills.
