Rotational Pharmacist

Band 6

Location Various

Shift Pattern Various

We are offering an opportunity for pharmacists who are interested in gaining experience in hospital pharmacy and developing their clinical skills within an NHS acute setting.

This post is particularly suited to pharmacists who are:

1. Looking to build hospital experience
2. Newly qualified pharmacists that have not yet secured a post due to lack of vacancies

This would offer a valuable interim opportunity

The role will provide exposure to:

3. Hospital pharmacy systems and processes
4. Clinical pharmacy practice within a multidisciplinary team
5. Medicines management, prescribing support, and patient-facing pharmacy services

While this post is not intended as a formal training role, it offers the chance to develop practical experience, confidence, and insight into hospital pharmacy practice. The experience gained may support future applications for Band 6 roles as these become available, and there may be opportunities to express interest in other posts as the service develops.

We welcome applications from pharmacists who are motivated to learn, adaptable, and interested in gaining experience within an acute hospital environment.

Flexibility and good communication skills are essential as well as an ability to work as part of a team.
