Job Role: Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager / Employers Agent
In this role, you will be responsible for managing one or multiple projects from a portfolio primarily involving new build or refurbishment of affordable and social housing.
The employer's projects are mainly long-term client work, either negotiated or secured through a services framework. Many projects involve repeat business with clients such as housing associations and property developers.
The successful Senior Project Manager will be willing to travel across the UK as required. A valid driving licence and preferably your own car (business mileage paid) are necessary.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Independently manage and ensure the successful delivery of an extensive programme of affordable housing projects.
* Serve as the principal contact for clients and design team consultants.
* Manage multiple projects simultaneously, utilizing effective time management strategies.
* Oversee small to medium-sized projects with a reasonable level of independence.
* Provide exceptional service to all clients.
Desired Skills and Experience
* At least 5 years of experience managing projects as a Quantity Surveyor, Cost Consultant, Senior Quantity Surveyor, Senior Cost Consultant, or Project Manager within a PQS/cost consultancy, building contractor, or subcontractor.
* Experience with measurement software such as CostX or similar, including managing colleagues using such software.
* Ability to manage multiple social housing projects simultaneously with excellent time management.
* Experience acting as Employer’s Agent on new build projects per scheme Development Agreements.
* Experience managing and recording plot handover information.
* Ability to supervise and mentor assistants and apprentices.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements
A degree or equivalent in a construction-related field such as Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, or Project Management is preferred. Chartered status with RICS is highly desirable, or a commitment to achieve it within 2 years.

Additional Benefits
* Basic salary ranging from £40,000 to £55,000, negotiable based on experience.
