What is the point of this role?
As Senior Data Analyst understanding that Data Platform is a pivotal role focusing on aiding and enhancing ANS's data platform operations. This position involves collaborating closely with the Data Platform team, ensuring the seamless operation of the data platform, supporting projects, and acting as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders. The role requires someone who is commercially minded and is able to translate commercial goals into specific actions for the Data Platform team to execute, and likewise communicate technical challenges back to key stakeholders.
What will I be doing?
1. Lead business data analysis, reporting and visualisation tasks as needed.
2. Collaborate with the Data Platform team to guarantee the smooth functioning of the data platform.
3. Ensure data accuracy and leverage business stakeholders to support with validation.
4. Analyse business processes, requirements, and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement.
5. Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather business requirements, align KPIs and create user stories.
6. Assist in the development and implementation of data-related projects and initiatives.
7. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to business processes and systems.
8. Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists on data-related initiatives by creating the interface to business stakeholders.
What will I bring to the role?
9. Proficiency in data analysis, reporting tools, and visualization techniques. Experienced Microsoft PowerBIAlso counted if Advanced experience with other BI tools like Tableau
10. Familiarity with SQL and data analysis.
11. Experience in facilitating requirements-gathering sessions and documenting business processes.
12. Ability to work independently with C-level stakeholders, aligning KPIs and wireframing dashboards.
13. Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
14. Previous experience in supporting data-related projects or teams.
15. Understanding of data platforms, data structures and data management concepts preferable
What is needed to do the role? (Desirable but not essential)
16. Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
17. Certification in PowerBI or similar BI tool
18. Demonstrable experience working with BI tools and senior stakeholders
19. Preference for mix of consulting and industry experience
