This role does not offer sponsorship.As part of our continued growth, we’re excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dedicated and close-knit team at Baston House School, part of the Options Autism family.About the RoleAs a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our teachers to deliver engaging and creative lessons tailored to the needs of our pupils—helping to maximise their achievement, independence, and confidence.This is a brilliant opportunity for a qualified HLTA who is passionate about education and motivated to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people with complex and varied needs, including autism and associated learning differences.In this role, you will:Support teaching and learning in both individual and small group settingsLead lessons when required, in line with planning and pupil needsBuild positive relationships with pupils to support engagement and interactionHelp maintain a strong safeguarding culture across the schoolBring a proactive and flexible approach to classroom support and behaviour managementWe’re looking for someone who:Has achieved Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) statusHas previous experience working within an SEN/ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) settingIs calm, confident, and resilient in the face of challengesCan work independently and collaboratively as part of a wider education teamIs confident leading lessons or small groups when requiredIs committed to empowering every pupil to reach their full potentialAt Baston House School, we are committed to creating a nurturing, respectful environment where our pupils feel heard, supported, and inspired to thrive.About UsBaston House is an independent day specialist provider of education and care for young people and adults aged 5 to 19 years who have been diagnosed with Autism (ASC).Baston House School ensures that our school environment supports learning and promotes the well-being of pupils and staff through a strong sense of community cohesion.
