Fawkes & Reece are hiring for Freelance Quantity Surveyor's in the Northwest for a number of upcoming projects due to start soon. Projects are 5 days per week (some clients are hybrid working, some are full-time on-site) .
Responsibilities as a Freelance Quantity Surveyor
Prepare detailed cost plans and budgets for the project.
Preparing, submitting, and agreeing monthly applications for payment with the client.
Assist with initial budget preparation and ongoing budget management.
Prepare tender documents including bills of quantities.
Evaluate contract/ subcontractor quotations.
Monitor project progress and prepare valuations and final accounts.
Identify potential financial or legal risks and implement fixes.
Provide regular updates and costs to client/ purchaser.
Requirements as a Freelance Quantity Surveyor
Minimum 3 years previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
Experience working on different types of projects.
Including, Pricing & forecasting, Procurement (materials, plant, labour), and Subcontractor management.
Hold a full UK driving licence (preferred).
Willing to travel.
Preferable
Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management
Main contracting experience on new build high-rise residential projects
