About the Role
As a key player in our business development strategy, you'll be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and converting high-margin opportunities across a variety of channels—from negotiated contracts and tenders to strategic partnerships and frameworks. You'll work closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams to build strong relationships, support bids, and ensure seamless project handovers. Your insights will help us stay ahead of the competition and deliver exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
1. Build and nurture long-term client relationships to secure repeat business.
2. Generate leads and manage a robust pipeline of opportunities.
3. Conduct market and competitor research to inform strategy.
4. Support bid teams with customer insights and win themes.
5. Champion our CRM system (Salesforce) to drive data-led decisions.
6. Create engaging marketing content and represent WPS at industry events.
7. Promote safety, quality, and environmental standards through site visits and campaigns.
8. Engage in flexible working arrangements.
9. Attend industry events and awards to network and promote our brand.

Minimum Requirements
* Proven experience in business development within the FM sector.
* Strong understanding of maintenance processes and FM contract landscapes.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
* Strategic thinker with a proactive, "hunter" mindset.
* Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
* BA/BSc Degree (2:1 desirable) or equivalent experience.
