Overview
Railpen is recruiting for a Head of Business Intelligence. This is a permanent role in the Darlington office with hybrid working.
Join Railpen to lead the strategic development and delivery of data capabilities across Member Services, reporting to the Member Services Solutions & Delivery Director. You will design and implement a data strategy that meets operational, regulatory, and scheme requirements, while aligning with Trustee expectations and enterprise-wide governance principles. You will also lead the development and implementation of an operational planning and performance capability across the Member Services business operations functions.
The role
As Head of Business Intelligence, you will:
* Lead the development and delivery of the Member Services data strategy aligned with Railpen governance and member-first ethos
* Drive innovation in data use and improve data quality through process enhancements
* Develop and deliver an operational planning and performance capability across Member Services operations
* Oversee data strategy and governance in regulated environments and align with enterprise governance principles

The person
We’re looking for someone with expertise in:
* Business Intelligence platforms, data modelling, and metadata management
* Pension administration systems and cross-platform integration
* Financial services data structures and compliance
* Leading data strategy and governance in regulated environments
* Overseeing business operations resource planning and performance with robust tracking and analyses
* Managing data and analytics teams and driving transformation initiatives
You should be able to deliver excellence for members, collaborate to align data capabilities with member service priorities, negotiate and influence, and think strategically and analytically. You will lead by example and foster a continuous improvement mindset within Member Services.
