Payroll Manager – UK & International
£50,000 + benefits • Hybrid (West London, 3 days in office)
Full-time, permanent
We’re hiring a Payroll Manager to take ownership of end-to-end UK payroll and support international payrolls for a growing group of brands operating across events, media, and digital platforms.
You’ll be joining a well-rounded finance team (Management Accountant, Finance Operations lead, and AP/AR specialists), helping us deliver accurate, compliant, and seamless payroll across the UK and South Africa.

What you’ll be doing
• Own the entire UK payroll cycle, working closely with our centralised US-based payroll processing team
• Review and validate monthly payroll data: starters, leavers, benefits, commissions, statutory pay (SSP/SMP)
• Ensure full compliance with HMRC, RTI submissions and auto-enrolment
• Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare payroll journals with the Finance team
• Maintain accurate payroll and benefits records in line with GDPR
• Manage annual processes including P11Ds, P60s and audit support
• Collaborate with HR to keep employee data clean and aligned across systems
• Coordinate international payrolls via external partners to maintain global consistency
• Handle employee payroll queries with speed and clarity
• Identify process improvements and strengthen controls across payroll operations
What you’ll need
• Proven experience managing UK payroll end-to-end
• Strong working knowledge of UK payroll legislation (PAYE, NI, pensions, statutory reporting)
• Experience partnering with outsourced or international payroll teams
• Excellent numerical accuracy and high attention to detail
• Skilled with payroll systems (Sage, Xero, ADP, or similar)
• Strong Excel capability
• Clear, confident communicator with a collaborative mindset
• Comfortable managing deadlines in a busy, evolving environment
• CIPP qualified or studying
• Bonus: Experience working with US or global finance teams
