About the role

As a Production Planner at Sulzer GT Aero Services Ltd., you will be instrumental in optimizing our manufacturing processes for critical aerospace components. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules, ensuring the timely and efficient flow of materials and work-in-progress, and contributing to the overall operational excellence of our facility.
This role is based full-time at our Netherley facility near Stonehaven in Aberdeenshire, a key hub for our turbine operations and customer support.
Job Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and maintain detailed production schedules and plans, taking into account material availability, capacity, and labor resources.
* Monitor production progress against established schedules, identify potential bottlenecks or deviations, and proactively communicate and implement corrective actions.
* Collaborate closely with procurement, engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure alignment on production requirements, material lead times, and quality standards.
* Manage and track inventory levels for raw materials, components, and finished goods, working to optimize stock levels and minimize waste.
* Utilize ERP/MRP systems to generate reports, analyze production data, and make informed planning decisions.
* Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the implementation of lean manufacturing principles within the production planning function.
* Support new product introductions by collaborating on initial production planning and ramp-up strategies.
Job Qualifications
* Relevant of experience in a production planning or scheduling role within an engineering or manufacturing environment,
* Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
* Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
* Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively collaborating with diverse teams.
