Our client is a long-established refurbishment contractor delivering building maintenance, planned works, and improvement programmes across the public sector. They work closely with housing associations and local authorities and have built a strong reputation for quality delivery, long-term relationships, and consistent growth.

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Bid Manager or Senior Bid Writer looking to step into a managerial role. The position is hands-on, combining end-to-end bid writing with responsibility for managing the bid process and supporting the wider bid team. The successful candidate will be confident leading multiple live bids and overseeing submissions from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage the full bid lifecycle from receipt of tender documentation through to final submission

* Write and review clear, compelling, and compliant responses for PQQs, ITTs, and tender submissions

* Lead and coordinate multiple bids simultaneously to tight deadlines

* Allocate and manage contributions from bid writers and wider internal teams

* Review tender documentation to ensure compliance and alignment with client requirements

* Mentor and support bid writers, providing guidance, feedback, and quality control

* Contribute to the development and maintenance of bid libraries, templates, and standard responses

Essential Experience

* Strong background in bid writing within the construction or refurbishment sector

* Experience coordinating or managing bids and contributors

* Ability to write bids start to finish independently

* Confident leading and supporting a bid team

* Strong written communication skills and attention to detail

* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
