Job Description
Service Care Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority in Bournemouth for a Finance Officer to join on a temporary basis. The role involves coordinating regular payments to external providers within the Children’s Commissioning team.
Main Responsibilities
* Support the administration of regular and ad hoc payments using bespoke finance systems for services arranged by the Brokerage Team.
* Verify that all received invoices match expected and approved charges for the services commissioned.
* Investigate finance queries from internal colleagues and external suppliers promptly and professionally.
* Provide administrative support to Senior Finance Officers and the Direct Payments Support Officer, including maintaining databases and spreadsheets.
Candidate Criteria
* A-level qualifications or equivalent; AAT qualification is desirable.
* Experience explaining contractual and financial requirements clearly to the public.
* Knowledge of financial regulations and payment terms.
* Ability to raise queries and follow through to resolution.
* Experience with cash handling.
