A brilliant opportunity has arisen for a Pre-Construction Project Manager to join one of the largest family run construction business' in the UK, dealing with a diverse range of interesting and challenging projects across multiple sectors, based in Cambridge.
To be successful in this position, you will need to be able to build, to plan, to programme, to lead a team, to manage a design team and understand the design process.
Pre-Construction Project Manager Duties:
- Oversee the project development process from the time of the tender until it starts on site, including the management of the consultants.
- Throughout the tender process, chair design development meetings and comprehend the design brief.
- Help with the procurement procedures for Preferred Contractor Suppliers.
- Create construction project programmes using Powerproject.
- Manage interim projects and communicate with our temporary works designers.
- Communicate with all associations representing architects, local governments, utilities, and highways.
- Work closely with the estimating and commercial teams while conducting a thorough investigation of value engineering and value development potential.
- As required, attend site progress meetings.
Pre-Construction Project Manager Requirements:
- Strong work ethic and organisational abilities
- Computer skills: must be adept with document management systems and Microsoft Office products (ideally 2010 suite, Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Construction programming with Powerproject.
- Proficient in both written and spoken English.
- A clear and concise phone manner is crucial since daily work will involve interacting with clients, including team meetings.
- A team player with the ability to operate both independently and collaboratively.
In return for your services:
* On offer is a base salary between £60,000 & £80,000 DOE.
