About The Opportunity

We are seeking applications for a Digital Forensics Technician. Digital Forensic Services are vital to helping our officers to combat crime, protect the vulnerable, enable safer communities, and make a difference that really matters.

This exciting opportunity will see you involved in a variety of challenging and interesting cases delivering digital forensics work to support investigations. If you have an interest and passion for digital technology and a role that supports victims of crime then you could be part of a fast‑paced technical team, responsible for the identification, preservation, extraction, interpretation and presentation of digital evidence for a variety of digital devices.

In this role you will use appropriate digital forensics techniques to capture, preserve and acquire evidence and intelligence held on mobile phones, computers and other digital data devices that have been suspected of being used in the commission of crime. You will maintain the integrity of evidence and findings, document processes and provide evidential reports whilst compiling with ISO Quality Standards. A vital part of the role is the forensic integrity and continuity of evidence with subsequent presentation at judicial proceedings.

The digital world is evolving quickly, and we need to keep pace. To do this we need people who have the willingness to adapt quickly and seek opportunities in every challenge. We will support the right candidate with a defined training plan, and development opportunities to ensure excellence in delivering Digital Forensics.
