About Our Client

Our client a well known Tier 1 social housing contractor, looking for a Divisional Commercial Manager to oversee a portfolio of trophy Midlands based contracts.

Job Description

3. Oversee all commercial activities within the property division, ensuring alignment with business goals.
4. Develop and implement strategies to drive profitability and optimise financial performance.
5. Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for the property division.
6. Lead contract negotiations and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
7. Identify and mitigate commercial risks to safeguard the organisation's interests.
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business growth and operational efficiency.
9. Provide leadership and guidance to commercial teams, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
10. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends and regulatory changes within the property industry.

The Successful Applicant

Essential Experience

11. Proven experience as a Divisional Commercial Manager, Senior Commercial Manager, or similar high-level commercial role.
12. A strong background in social housing with a clear focus on Planned Works delivery.
13. Demonstrable experience managing commercial teams, major frameworks, and multimillion‑pound portfolios.
14. A track record of building trusted client relationships and driving commercial success across complex contracts.
15. Strong financial and commercial acumen-confident with reporting, forecasting, risk and opportunity management.

Desirable

16. Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
17. RICS accreditation (or working towards).
18. Knowledge of decarbonisation, high-rise refurbishment, and compliance-driven social housing workstreams.
