Rate of Pay: £19.27 - £25.43 per hour
Summary:
As an Enforcement Officer, you will support the Councils statutory duty to prevent crime and disorder by undertaking both civil and criminal investigations and enforcement duties. Youll carry out proactive and responsive patrols across the borough, tackle anti-social behaviour, public nuisance, environmental crimes, highway infringements, and other enforcement areas. This role involves close collaboration with police, emergency services, and other partners while serving as a visible, front-line ambassador for the Council.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct enforcement activities to address rough sleeping, ASB (anti-social behaviour), nuisance, environmental crimes, licensing violations, and highway offences.
* Respond to member enquiries, complaints, and incidents as directed.
* Patrol borough areas by foot or bicycle, including evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
* Work in partnership with the police, fire service, council departments, and external agencies.
* Gather evidence and prepare case files for civil and criminal prosecution in accordance with PACE, CPIA, and related legislation.
Requirements:
* Demonstrated experience in an enforcement, investigative, or regulatory role.
* Experience interacting with the public in a diverse, urban environment.
* Proven ability to work both independently and within a team.
* Comfortable using technology and ICT systems in a professional setting.
* Valid Community Safety Accreditation Scheme (CSAS) certificate or willingness to attain.
