Project Manager - 6 month contract - Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria (required on-site daily) - £31.36 ph UMB or £23.39 ph PAYE (Inside IR35)
The Umbrella rate quoted above is the Gross Umbrella rate (i.e. the rate we pay to the Umbrella Company inclusive of ALL employment costs). The Role
A varied role, aiming to support and maximise build enablement.
Gathering data and status updates from a variety of key stakeholders, both internal & external, in order to support key build delivery activities. Working closely with other teams and Functions to ensure a seamless handover during key build stages and activities. Supporting readiness reviews and liasing closely with key stakeholders, both in the UK and US.

To facilitate and support the development of project plans and processes to drive the realisation of opportunities for the Dreadnought class submarine programme.
Attend Strategic Weapons Organisation (SWO) and wider risk reviews to ensure opportunities are adequately captured within the business systems.
Support the development of plans for opportunity enhancement for the team using both internal, bi-lateral & collaborative areas, raising and progressing opportunity actions on behalf of the Programme Team.
Support any changes to build strategy in accordance with Lifecycle Management principles.
Work closely with key stakeholders to collate and analyse data from multiple sources for key Programme meetings.
Monitor and identify/communicate any issues or opportunities within the team to ensure effective project delivery. Identify and expedite actions, facilitating timely solutions within opportunity related Working Groups.
Coordinate within working groups with operations build strategy, integrated build planning teams and with operations SMEs.
Positively managing relationships between internal Functions and US stakeholders for the benefit of the wider programme.
What are BAE Systems looking for from you?
Extensive project experience.
Ideally from Shipbuilding/Nuclear or similar.
Heavy manufacturing background could also be beneficial.
Must possess excellent communication skills and stakeholder management skills
Security Requirements: SC, ITAR & UK EYES ONLY
This role will require the person to hold full Security Clearance (SC) prior to working onsite. You will need to obtain a BPSS check as part of this process. You must currently hold or be eligible and willing to obtain SC. In addition, this role involves direct and/or indirect access to ITAR Material which means there are restriction.
