Job Title: Grid & Energy Storage Market Lead
We are seeking a dynamic and ambitious individual to lead the delivery of our current portfolio within the Grid & Energy Storage market and develop strategies for future growth. This strategic role involves working with high-profile clients such as SSE, EDF, UK Power Networks, and others.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Grid & Energy Storage market, including key clients, projects, and emerging technologies.
2. Create and own a market growth plan, including value propositions and strategic partnerships.
3. Build and strengthen relationships with key clients to achieve growth targets.
4. Identify, track, and manage leads and enquiries, accurately maintaining the market pipeline.
5. Collaborate with the Power & Energy Director to lead business development and sector profile development, representing the company at industry events.
6. Lead the production of bid responses with support from technical and business development teams.
7. Oversee the performance of projects within the market at the portfolio level, working with project teams to meet objectives.
8. Provide technical and project delivery leadership within your field of expertise.
9. Promote a culture of health, safety, and welfare.
10. Design and deliver civil/structural aspects of National Grid infrastructure projects, including substations, overhead lines, HVDC, and interconnectors.
11. Design and deliver civil/structural components of transmission and distribution network projects.
12. Experience in projects such as substations, solar farms, interconnectors, battery storage, green hydrogen, gas peaking, and grid stabilization schemes.
13. Manage multidisciplinary design, project, and commercial aspects of projects.
14. Exhibit strong communication and influencing skills, with a client-focused approach.
15. Hold TP141 certification.
Qualifications:
* Civil/structural engineering degree or equivalent industry experience.
* Chartered Engineer status or equivalent industry experience.
