Shaftesbury High School is looking to appoint a SEND Teacher from September 2024.
We are looking to recruit a SEND teacher to work with a Year 10/11 Green
Curriculum class. The successful teacher will provide learning that will make a lasting
change to our students. This post will be ideal for a Secondary SEND teacher or an
Upper Primary Teacher who would like to work in a secondary setting.

* An understanding of the role of an SLD SEND teacher.
* Experience of effective use of resources to support learning.
* Competency in using Information and Communication Technology.
* Experience
* Candidates should ideally have experience of teaching students with SEND in a mainstream or special school setting. We can provide the support, training, and time required to ensure your excellence of provision
Candidates will have recognised teaching qualifications. Candidates should have evidence of SEND specific professional development
Personal Qualities
Candidates should be:

* Able to communicate effectively and appropriately.
* Able to maintain a calm and professional attitude.
* Committed to wanting the best educational and pastoral outcomes for our students.
* Committed to develop their knowledge and skills in SEND related matters.
