About The Role
In your role as a Regional Decorator at HC-One, you will undertake painting and decorating duties to present the homes to the highest standards, helping HC-One become the First Choice Care Home in the community. You will maintain a clean, safe, and homely environment to meet the needs of Residents and Colleagues. Flexibility and responsiveness to the changing needs of the Homes are essential.
You will report immediately to the Home Manager or Person in Charge any illness of an infectious nature or accidents involving Residents, Colleagues, or yourself. You must understand and ensure the implementation of the Care Home’s Health and Safety policy, along with Emergency and Fire procedures.
This full-time position involves working across multiple care homes, so the ability to drive is required; a shared company vehicle will be provided.
HC-One seeks someone with effective engagement and communication skills with Residents, the Home Manager, and colleagues. You will undertake general painting and decorating tasks, including making good any damage prior to decoration, wallpapering, and painting walls, ceilings, fixtures, and fittings. Ensuring the implementation of health and safety policies, safe working practices, and equipment maintenance is vital. You will also complete mandatory and role-specific training to maintain and update your professional knowledge and competence.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know the appropriate actions to take.
