About the Job
We are looking for an experienced and qualified Mechanical Engineer to join our branch in Heathfield, East Sussex. This is a hands‑on field role with excellent variety and long‑term development opportunities.
Responsibilities
* Install, commission, set up and test water filtration systems on sewage treatment sites
* Carry out site inspections, diagnose faults and prepare survey reports for quotations
* Use mobile electronic equipment to access and interpret technical information
* Work at heights, in confined spaces and outdoors in all weather conditions
* Work away from home regularly, including overnight stays
* Occasionally support workshop activities at other UK locations
* Collaborate with other engineers and trades across the business
Qualifications
* A current valid UK driving licence
* City & Guilds mechanical engineering qualification
* Completion of a recognised mechanical apprenticeship
