About the role:
We are currently seeking a Lecturer in Theatrical Make-Up to join our Performing Arts department at The Bedford College Group.
As a Lecturer, you will play an important role in the success of our students through:
1. Teaching and Student Support: Prepare, deliver, assess, and verify Level 3 Make-up Course; support and guide students to achieve success.
2. Curriculum and Development: Contribute to curriculum development, innovative teaching, and implement new learning materials.
3. Assessment and Monitoring: Assess students' work, monitor progress, carry out tutorials, and maintain records.
4. Administrative and Promotional Duties: Complete administrative tasks, participate in marketing activities, and contribute to course team meetings.
5. Statutory Duties: Promote safeguarding, equality and diversity, follow health and safety requirements, and engage in training and development.
About you:
* Qualifications and Experience: Level 5 or 6 in Theatrical Make-up, willingness to achieve teaching and assessor qualifications, GCSE Maths and English, and experience in teaching make-up subjects.
* Skills and Knowledge: Knowledge of current developments, promoting equality and diversity, high performance, and supporting high-quality learning.
* Organizational and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines, positive working relationships, and strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
* Professional Conduct: Promote the College's reputation, create a welcoming environment, communicate effectively, and maintain professional boundaries.
* Flexibility and Commitment: Flexible work approach, commitment to professional development, awareness of health and safety, and willingness to work at all College locations.
