About the Role
You will:
* Deliver engaging and effective English lessons across Key Stages, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, and achievement.
* Plan, assess, and monitor pupil progress in line with school policies and national curriculum expectations.
* Create a purposeful classroom environment with high-quality displays that celebrate learning.
* Contribute to the development of schemes of learning and departmental initiatives.
* Promote literacy, critical thinking, and creativity through an inclusive and inspiring approach.
* Play an active role as a Form Tutor, supporting the academic and emotional wellbeing of your tutor group.
* Participate in whole-school CPD, school events, and enrichment activities.

About You
We’re looking for someone who:
* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is working towards it (ECTs welcome).
* Has strong subject knowledge and a passion for English language and literature.
* Demonstrates excellent classroom management and communication skills.
* Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
* Works collaboratively and contributes positively to team and school life.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
