Lead Support Worker
Albion Street, Swindon
Permanent, part-time (22.5 hpw), working Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm (pattern to be discussed)
Pay: £13.21 per hour (£25,838 per annum, pro-rata), with great benefits including a Health Cash Plan
About the Role
Want to be part of a team that cares and empowers you to make a difference? As our Lead Support Worker, you'll support customers with complex needs to develop skills for independent living, helping them achieve their hopes and aspirations.
Typical Day
* Creating support plans with customers and coordinating a small team of Support Workers
* Providing mental health support
* Assisting with daily activities: making meals, shopping, budgeting, maintaining tenancies, and transitioning to independent accommodation
* Carrying out risk assessments, support planning, goal setting, and reviews
* Engaging in informal chats and catch-ups, fostering a collaborative environment
What You Bring
* Passion for supporting customers to live their best lives
* Experience in creating person-centred support plans and supporting colleagues
* Experience in coordinating and assessing customer referrals
* Ability to work independently, stay calm under pressure, and be resilient
