We are currently recruiting for a Sterile Services Technician vacancy. This is an excellent opportunity to join the business at an entry level and receive world-class training to progress along a defined career pathway.
About You

Working Pattern
* 12 weeks of full-time training Monday-Friday 08:00-16:00. Then move to full-time permanent shift: Monday and Tuesday 13:00-21:00, Thursday and Friday 07:00-15:00.
What Is Involved
* Ensuring the effective preparation of sterile consumables (dressings, linen, instruments, and equipment) by the process of decontamination, inspection, assembly and packing within predefined quality standards.
* Rigorously checking, washing, laying up and packing sets of theatre instruments to meet contract specifications within predefined quality standards.
* Safely operating and monitoring machines and equipment (washer/disinfectors, ultrasonic and sterilizers) effectively.
* Ensuring that repairs and missing instruments or equipment are recorded and logged on the Tracking and Traceability computer system (SynergyTrak).
* Ensuring that repaired instruments or equipment are returned to stock or the appropriate coded sets or the Trust’s appointed person.
Required Experience
* Educated to a good general standard with demonstrable verbal and numerical abilities.
* Basic end user IT skills to operate track and traceability IT system.
Preferred Experience
* TVQ or NVQ Level 2 in Decontamination or equivalent experience.
* Previous experience in Sterile Services and/or health related products.
