Overview
Personal Assistant/Support Worker required to support an independent female adult (30’s) who is chronically ill with multiple conditions.
As her Personal Assistant, you will support with everyday tasks such as administration, household chores, food prep and accessing the community.
Responsibilities
* Provide administration and organisation support as part of daily tasks.
* Assist with household chores, food preparation and healthy meal planning.
* Support to access the community as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
* Demonstrable experience and/or understanding of complex chronic illnesses (with hidden/invisible needs), autism or mental health would be very useful for this role, whether in a professional context or within your personal life.
* An organized, systematic, and conscientious approach; ability to follow instructions and maintain effective communication, empathy and interpersonal skills.
* Driver with a full clean license is highly desirable (as is food hygiene certificate or knowledge).
Details
This is a part time position for 10-12 hours per week at £12.50 - £14 per hour (depending on experience) plus 5.6 weeks paid annual leave and workplace pension scheme.
The majority of working hours will be during the afternoon on weekdays but occasional evenings or weekends may be required, so some flexibility is desirable. This role is suitable for a job share between two PAs; applications are welcome from those who cannot cover all of the hours.
