Offer description

Are you a proactive and technically astute professional with experience supporting government communications systems? An exciting opportunity has opened for a Service Manager - Technical to take ownership of support case management for a major UK Government communications programme.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage support cases under UK Government contracts (including CSCS4), ensuring SLA and KPI compliance.
* Oversee case progression and liaise with internal teams to resolve technical issues.
* Serve as primary liaison for MOD project teams, system engineers, and support stakeholders.
* Plan and oversee service visits, ensuring logistics, equipment, and commercial terms are aligned.
* Monitor trends in ticketing systems to inform process improvement and spares planning.
* Produce, maintain, and improve support documentation and knowledge base materials.
* Train first- and second-line support staff and onboard new field service engineers.
* Support MOD stakeholders during complex technical investigations, both remotely and on-site.

Required Skills & Experience

* Strong commercial experience supporting satellite communications, IT networks, and electronic systems.
* Strong understanding of MOD environments across COMSAT, MILSAT, MNE, and message handling.
* Strong understanding of Royal Navy or similar defence communications.
* Familiarity with wider MOD communications infrastructure across land and sea platforms.
* Strong working knowledge of IT networking, satellite systems, and electrical/electronic equipment.
* Must hold or be eligible for DV Security Clearance.
* Flexible for occasional travel and on-site support as required.
