The Adult Specialist Rehabilitation Division are seeking a highly experienced, resilient, and motivated Assistant HR Business Partner to join their complex and fast paced Division.

The post holder will be a key contact for operational managers within the ASR Division, this will involve travelling to the various Divisional sites facilitating effective delivery of health services, via provision of a comprehensive proactive HR service, including the facilitation of on site HR Clinics, managing complex casework, supporting a sickness absence caseload and providing support to organisational change programmes. This post will also support Policy development, and Agenda for Change.

The post holder will support embedding a “Just and Learning Culture,” as part of the Trust’s management of conduct within its Disciplinary Policy promoting the Trust’s values and, in particular, its “Equality and Inclusion agenda.” The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of operational HR, will have the ability to deputise for the HR Business Partner. This role can operate on a flexible hour’s basis however is not suitable for remote working and the core of the role is embedded within the Divisional team who have an on site presence.

The role includes day to day proactive support and management of a small team of Senior HR Advisors


Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering on targets, work well under pressure, be highly organised, have excellent communication skills and have significant competence in analysing and presenting data as monthly reporting requirements.

The candidate will be able to operate in an environment of rapid change and conflicting priorities. Expert knowledge of the full range of HR policies and procedures and excellent working knowledge of employment legislation is essential.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The successful applicant will be CIPD qualified and have relevant generalist HR experience. Applications are welcome from individuals who are dedicated to make a difference, have a can‑do attitude with excellent communication and organisational abilities along with the willing to build long term relationships with managers and key stakeholders.


Person specification


Qualifications

* Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
* Post‑graduate qualification from the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development, or actively working towards this qualification with an equivalent level of experience at a senior Human Resource level
* Evidence of continued professional development
* Working towards Masters degree in relevant topic or have equivalent professional experience & development as detailed below


Experience

* Experience of delivering front line advice and guidance to senior operational managers, advising on complex employee relations issues, supporting on change management projects and carrying out investigations
* Developing and delivering management training and presentations
* Contributing to new Human Resource strategies and projects
* Experience of managing people
* Workforce data report preparation and analysis for presentation
* In‑depth knowledge of the full range of Human Resource policies and management procedures, statutory legislation and upcoming legislative changes
* Knowledge of relevant NHS Policy and guidelines
* Excellent writing skills, including the ability to summarise information and key issues, and draw logical arguments and conclusions
* Knowledge of workforce development tools and techniques
* Demonstrate a business‑focused approach to Human Resource matters

In accordance with UK Home Office requirements, Band 2 clinical and non‑clinical roles and Band 3 Non‑Clinical roles are not eligible for sponsorship.

Please note that the majority of non‑clinical roles (Agenda for Change Band 3 - 6) with the exception of those which appear on this list - link, will not meet the minimum requirements set by UK Visas and Immigration to sponsor candidates to work in the UK.

All non‑clinical roles (Agenda for Change Bands 7 - 9) that meet the prescribed skill level (RQF 6) and salary threshold will be eligible for sponsorship.

The Trust will accept applications from candidates who can evidence their right to work in the UK or via alternative visa routes.

DBS Costs

Please be aware that all new employees starting work with the Trust will be charged for the cost of their DBS check if it is required for the role. The cost will be deducted from your salary in 3 payments over a 3-month period once you start employment. By applying for this role, you are agreeing to these deductions being made. The charges for the DBS include the administration fee. The total costs are £26.40 for a standard check and £54.40 for an enhanced check. The level of check will be determined by the post you are applying for. For bank Workers the full cost of the DBS check (as detailed above) will be deducted from your pay following completion of your online mandatory training. No payment will be made for your online training until it is all complete and verified by the Temporary Staffing Team. Please note: You will not be able to work any bank shifts until you have completed your mandatory training, and your DBS is in place.
