About the role
The Bid Manager reports to the Head of Bidding and is responsible for managing the process of identifying, managing, and responding to tender opportunities from local authorities and B2B clients. The role includes maintaining bid infrastructure like our bid library and SharePoint sites, ensuring content is current to support successful submissions. This is a fixed-term contract until September 2025.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
1. Develop and maintain the bid library on SharePoint, including creating new case studies and updating content based on bid feedback.
2. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and partners to ensure bid information is accurate and meets customer needs.
3. Manage bid portals, identify new tender opportunities, and update the CRM system (Hubspot).
4. Lead the drafting of high-quality tender and proposal responses for local authority and B2B opportunities.
5. Proofread and edit bids prepared by the team, providing critical feedback.
6. Assist with initial technical reviews of new opportunities.
7. Conduct research to enhance bids, including sector, client, competitor, and EV market analysis.
8. Perform preliminary site analysis for EV Charge Point locations, assessing suitability for local authorities and businesses.
9. Engage with external contacts, attend webinars, and support regional sales meetings as needed.
10. Provide updates and insights on tendering performance and procurement landscape.
11. Ensure detailed bid feedback exercises are completed for won and lost bids.

* Minimum 3 years of experience in a related environment, with proven success under conflicting deadlines.
* Bid management or writing experience preferred.

Location
Based in Southwark with a hybrid working model: 3 days in the office (Tue-Thu).
