Responsibilities:
* Supervise and support nursery staff in daily tasks and activities.
* Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and learning experiences.
* Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the nursery.
* Communicate effectively with parents and provide regular updates on children's progress.
* Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, development, and any incidents.
* Lead by example and create a positive and inclusive environment for children and staff.
* Assist in staff training, development, and performance evaluations.
* Collaborate with the Nursery Manager to achieve operational goals and targets.
Requirements:
* Minimum of a Level 3 Early Years Childcare qualification.
* Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
* Ability to work well under pressure and handle challenging situations calmly.
* Passion for providing high-quality care and education to young children.
* Up-to-date knowledge of early years curriculum and best practices.
