Fresh Food Manager My client based in Manorhamilton, CO. Leitrim is currently looking for a Fresh Food Manager to join their store. This is a full time, permanent position. Pay: €38,000.00 - €42,000.00 per year Working hours: Shifts times are varied can be an early start i.e., 7 am or 9am and finishing times can be from 4pm to 7pm, some weekend work will be required. Reports to : Store Manager/ Owner Main Purpose of the Job: Ensure the store operates efficiently and effectively and provides our customers with the very best customer service and fresh food offering at all times. To deliver on key store targets (sales and profitability) through effective management of people and operations. Relevant Skills Experience: Minimum 1 years' experience in a management position (either as an Assistant Manager or Store Manager). Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word). Working knowledge of the CBE system is desirable. Strong knowledge and experience of reading and actioning reports. Previous experience with leading a team. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Good delegation skills. Highly driven with a strong work ethic. An understanding of how to achieve KPIs and targets. Commerciality and brand awareness. Passion for grocery retail. Thrive in a fast-paced working environment. Key Responsibilities: Operational Excellence Oversee daily operations of all fresh food departments. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and hygiene regulations. Monitor stock levels, waste, and shrinkage, implementing controls to reduce loss. Team Leadership Recruit, train, and develop team members to meet performance standards. Create rotas and manage staffing levels to ensure coverage and efficiency. Conduct regular team briefings and performance reviews. Customer Experience Maintain high standards of product presentation and availability. Handle customer queries and complaints professionally. Promote a culture of excellent customer service. Sales & Profitability Analyse sales reports and identify opportunities to grow revenue. Implement promotional plans and seasonal merchandising strategies. Manage budgets and control costs to maximise profitability. Compliance & Safety Ensure all legal and company policies are adhered to. Maintain accurate records for audits and inspections. Promote a safe working environment for staff and customers.
