Job Description Summary
As a Control & Protection Lead Engineer, you will work with HVDC NPI to develop control solutions based on the eLumina platform, reporting to the NPI/NTI Leader. The successful candidate will mentor and lead other engineers to deliver project scope, promote consistent design practices with a product mindset, and provide technical solutions to industrialize the product.

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
* Lead the development of HVDC Control & Protection systems, including requirements, design, and implementation.
* Review and approve technical documents and oversee engineering design processes.
* Utilize electromagnetic transient tools like PSCAD, EMTP-RV, and simulate plant models in MATLAB, PSCAD, etc., verifying their accuracy.
* Tune control and protection parameters to meet grid stability criteria as per customer specifications.
* Provide technical guidance supporting moderate complexity projects and tasks.
* Participate in engineering reviews, identify project risks, and propose reliable, compliant solutions.
* Analyze and evaluate projects to meet NPI objectives.
* Coach and develop department talent, leading small projects with low risks.
* Make decisions and solve moderately complex operational, product, or engineering problems using technical expertise.
* Continuously improve product delivery speed, stability, and reliability.
Required Qualifications
* Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience in HVDC.
* Extensive experience in control and protection system design.
* Expertise in HVDC control, protection, and sequencing strategies.
* Proficiency in PSCAD and MATLAB-SIMULINK.
* Experience in HVDC dynamic performance studies.
* Technical leadership experience.
* Flexibility in working hours and willingness to travel globally.
* Ability to understand customer requirements and develop client relationships.
