Key Purpose of the Role We are seeking a Team Manager to join our URTEC Education Service and take the lead in ensuring that our education provision meets the high standards required for individuals with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). This is a fantastic opportunity to have a meaningful impact on the delivery of education for 16 to 25 year olds with SEND, supporting both teaching staff and learners to achieve excellent outcomes. This is a small but expanding department. As Team Manager, you will be part of a collaborative team, reporting to and working closely with the Service Manager to support the development and delivery of the service. The Team Manager will be responsible for overseeing Education Provisionals and leading the SEND team, with a strong focus on people management. This role involves supporting, developing and motivating staff to ensure high performance, fostering a collaborative team culture and driving the effective implementation of teaching programmes to deliver outstanding educational outcomes. Although this is primarily a management and leadership role, the postholder will also be expected to undertake teaching duties where required in order to support learners, staff and the effective delivery of the service. Teaching will not form the main part of the role, but the ability and willingness to teach when needed will be an important expectation of the post.
