Chilled Production Operative
Bridgwater – TA6 6DF
£31,350.92 per annum / £14.98 consolidated hourly rate
4 on 4 off, days & nights between 7-7
12 month FTC
We are recruiting for a Chilled Production Operative (Known internally as a Chill Operative) to join our Chill Department at Bridgwater Dairy within our Müller Milk & Ingredients business on a 12 month fixed term contract. The successful candidate will strive to process the most effective and safe way to produce the best quality finished product whilst working to continuously improve in line with the Müller values.
Chill Operative responsibilities:
1. Working within the factory using complex equipment to ensure production to plan.
2. Operate equipment and processes effectively, including asset care, maximising output adhering to plan, waste reduction and cost saving.
3. Replenish materials as required.
4. Performance accredited chemical testing.
5. Completion of operational documentation.
6. Keep yourself and your team members safe.
7. Maintain a positive attitude and communicate any issues.
Please note this role requires you to work within a chilled environment however all PPE including Hi-Vis coat is provided.
What we’re looking for from a Chill Operative L2:
8. Production Operative experience, ideally within FMCG environment
9. Previous manual packing work desirable
10. A flexible approach; able to adapt to changing daily production plans
11. A good listener/communicator
12. Effective team worker
