Locum Consultant Adult Psychiatrist – Inverness, Scotland
We’re looking for a dedicated Consultant in Adult Psychiatry to join NHS Highland at Raigmore Hospital. This locum role offers flexibility and the chance to make a real difference in mental health.
Role Details
* Rate: £100‑£140 per hour (PAYE)
* Shifts: 09:00 am – 05:00 pm, Monday – Friday
* Location: Raigmore Hospital, Inverness
* Client: NHS Highland
Responsibilities
As a locum consultant you will:
* Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment and treatment to adults.
* Work within a multidisciplinary team to support patient care.
* Maintain accurate records and comply with NHS standards.

Qualifications
* MBBS or equivalent medical degree
* MRCPsych, FRCPsych, or equivalent GMC Specialist Registration for Psychiatry
* Full GMC registration with a specialist licence to practise in Adult Psychiatry
* CCT in Adult Psychiatry
* Ability to be approved by Health Board under s22 of the Mental Health Act
* Current DBS or PVG check (or willingness to obtain one)
* UK right to work
