TP Tutors is seeking caring and motivated SEN Tutors to provide direct, one-to-one educational support for learners across Dorchester and the surrounding areas.

Hours: Flexible full-time and part-time positions available
Delivery: Face-to-face tuition
About the Position
As an SEN Tutor, you will work closely with children and young people who benefit from additional educational support beyond the classroom. Learners may have Autism, ADHD, SEMH needs, anxiety, or interrupted schooling.
You will deliver tailored sessions designed around each learner’s individual strengths and challenges, helping them increase confidence, stay engaged, and achieve progress in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
* Provide engaging one-to-one tuition sessions in person
* Differentiate learning resources and teaching approaches
* Encourage learner confidence, participation, and independence
* Support emotional wellbeing alongside academic development
* Monitor progress and adapt planning to suit learner needs
* Build positive relationships with families and professionals
* Maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
* Travel to students across Dorchester and surrounding areas for sessions
Ideal Candidate
* Experience working with children or young people is preferred
* Applicants from teaching, tutoring, SEN support, or mentoring backgrounds are welcome
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach
* Dependable and well organised
* Understanding of safeguarding practices
* Must be willing to commute for in-person tuition sessions

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
