SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provide counseling services to students and their parents.
* Participate in multi-tiered support systems for students with social/emotional and behavioral needs, including interdisciplinary meetings for diagnosis and treatment discussions.
* Assist in initial and annual IEP development as appropriate.
* Collaborate with families and staff during team meetings to support social and emotional development.
* Follow federal, state, and local procedures for record keeping, eligibility documentation, timelines, and safeguards.
* Maintain a schedule to ensure compliance with all required meetings and services.
SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST QUALIFICATIONS
* Master's Degree in Psychology.
* Endorsement as a School Psychologist or eligibility as prescribed by the State Department of Education.
* Experience or training in pediatric mental health is preferred.
* Ability to work independently, ethically, and responsibly.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to coordinate activities and work effectively with staff, parents, and external agencies.
