On-Call: 1 in 5 weeks (allowance paid)

We are recruiting for a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a major new facility in its commissioning phase. This is an exceptional opportunity to become part of a high-performing team at a newly constructed site that will be operational by mid-2025.

Your Role:
You'll be responsible for:
Delivering planned, preventative, and reactive mechanical maintenance across the entire site.
Supporting the commissioning, shutdown, and optimisation of systems.
Working closely with equipment suppliers and third-party contractors .
Assisting in the development and mentoring of apprentices and junior technicians .
Equipment & Systems You'll Work On:
Large mechanical plant systems
Pumps, valves, and hydraulics
Pneumatics and alignment tools
Power transmission and rotating machinery
What You'll Need:
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering (or significant relevant experience).
Strong background in heavy engineering environments (e.g. large plant, utilities, forces, power, etc.).
Ability to work independently and as part of a 24/7 team operation (Mon–Fri with on-call rotation).
Comfortable working with OEM partners and adapting to evolving site operations.
What's On Offer:
Base Salary: £45,000 – £50,000
On-call Allowance: +6%
Annual Performance Bonus: Up to 2.5%
Holidays: 25 days, increasing to 31 with service + your birthday off
Pension: Up to 9% matched (1.5x employee contribution)
