EY’s Sector Insights team comprises market‑facing sector experts across 18 sectors, shaping EY’s differentiated perspectives on the future of their sector. The team also equips EY’s 400,000 professionals to have insightful client conversations and drive growth.
Opportunities
As a Government & Public Sector Insights Lead Analyst, you will lead the Insights team and program for one of EY’s 18 sectors. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that EY has a differentiated perspective on client issues within the Government & Public Sector, positioning EY as a comprehensive advisor on strategy, transactions, and transformation to senior government leaders.

Your Key Responsibilities
* Executive impact: Engage with and challenge senior stakeholders, providing experiential and provocative perspectives on the issues, challenges, and opportunities facing the Government sector globally. Develop strong internal and external relationships, participating in client meetings, roundtables, and other events, and serve as a media spokesperson for the Government & Public Sector.
* Strategic leadership: Establish the Insights strategy for the Government & Public Sector, driving the development and co‑creation of insights beyond publicly available information.
* Analytical responsibilities: Combine multiple perspectives and sources to develop compelling points of view that drive results.
* Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing: Work closely with Insights leadership and other Analysts to support Government & Public Sector leadership and other senior stakeholders.
Skills and Attributes For Success
* Outstanding executive‑level presentation skills, with a track record of challenging and shaping perspectives of senior Government clients and internal decision‑makers.
* Demonstrated experience working at a senior level in a fast‑moving, client‑driven environment.
* Recognized Government insight leadership with 5+ years of public sector‑specific research and analysis activity.
* Collaborative mindset, able to work well both as part of a team and independently in a global, multicultural, and virtual environment.
* Strong analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize information, review data inputs, and provide analytic insights.
* Succinct and structured oral and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and concisely.
What We Look For
We are looking for individuals who are curious, strategic thinkers with a real‑world, commercial perspective driven by an understanding of both clients’ experiences and broader marketplace drivers. You will have at least 12 years of experience in a professional services or equivalent environment and should have a collaborative mindset, outstanding executive presence, and storytelling ability.
What We Offer You
The compensation ranges below are provided in order to comply with United States pay transparency laws. Other geographies will follow their local salary guidelines.
* Base salary: $171,400 to $339,400 in the US. $205,700 to $385,700 for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento).
* Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, pension, 401(k), paid time off and flexible vacation policy.
* Hybrid model: most external roles work together in person 40–60% of the time.
