Planning Solicitor - Top Tier International Law Firm Location: Birmingham (Hybrid Working Available) As a specialist legal recruiter, I am currently working with a prestigious, top-tier international law firm seeking to appoint a talented Planning Solicitor to join its highly regarded Real Estate and Planning team in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a forward-thinking firm with a strong national and international presence, working on high-profile and complex development projects. You will play a key role in advising a broad client base, including major developers, investors, public sector bodies, and corporate occupiers on a wide range of planning matters. Key responsibilities will include: Advising on all aspects of planning law, including strategic land development, urban regeneration and infrastructure projects Negotiating and drafting planning agreements, including Section 106 and highways agreements Supporting large-scale development transactions and due diligence exercises Providing commercially focused planning advice to multidisciplinary teams, including real estate and environmental colleagues Representing clients in planning appeals and inquiries (where applicable) Building strong client relationships and contributing to business development initiatives Candidate Profile Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales (or equivalent) with planning law experience Strong technical expertise combined with commercial awareness Excellent communication and client-facing skills Ability to manage a varied caseload and work collaboratively within a team Experience gained at a recognised regional, national or international firm would be advantageous.
