We’re looking for a detail-oriented and friendly Accounts & Payroll Assistant to join our team. You’ll play a key role in processing weekly payrolls for both temporary and internal staff, and support our Accounts & Payroll Manager with day-to-day finance tasks.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Input hours and rates into our recruitment software to run weekly payroll
* Check timesheets and resolve any pay queries with consultants and temps
* Set up new starters and maintain digital employee records
* Process holiday pay and issue P45s when needed
* Run payroll reports and submit data to HMRC and pension provider
* Make payments via online banking to staff, HMRC, DWP, and other third parties
* Support with year-end payroll tasks and liaise with other departments when needed
What We’re Looking For
* Experience using Sage Payroll (or similar) and a good grasp of PAYE
* Confident with data entry and handling high-volume weekly payrolls
* Comfortable using Outlook, Excel, and Word
* A clear communicator with a calm, can-do attitude
* Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Bonus Points If You Have
* Experience in recruitment or manufacturing environments
