The role
Salary: £30,000 - 40,000 per year Requirements: 2 years of experience in an IT PMO or project support role, ideally with a SaaS provider, software engineering house, or IT security company. Hands-on proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Asana, or MS Project. Advanced administrative knowledge of Confluence, SharePoint, or MS Teams for document control and knowledge bases. Intermediate Excel skills for budget tracking and resource capacity data. Basic understanding of IT concepts such as the SDLC, cloud environments, APIs, or infrastructure deployments. Solid understanding of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or Waterfall frameworks and their meeting cycles. Ability to identify, categorize, and track project risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies (RAID logs). Strong attention to detail in maintaining change control records, version numbering, and technical documentation. Ability to bridge communication between technical teams and non-technical business managers. Ability to proactively follow up with busy engineering teams for updates without creating friction. Excellent written communication skills for drafting concise technical meeting minutes and action items. Bachelors degree or equivalent practical industry experience preferred. Entry-level certifications such as CAPM, PRINCE2 Foundation, AgilePM, or Professional Scrum Master (PSM I) would be useful but are not essential. Responsibilities: Provide analytical, financial, and governance support across complex, multi-stream software development lifecycles (SDLC). Maintain high-quality portfolio data within our PMO function. Enforce Agile or hybrid stage-gate governance. Convert engineering metrics into actionable data for our senior leadership team. Support the improvement of our PMO function and optimization of our software delivery framework. Work closely with cross-functional teams to help design, build, and roll out products aligned with our company vision and strategy.
