Part-time post, 1 day (7.5 hours) per week
£34,054 per annum FTE (£6,810.80 pro rata), 25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays (pro rata)
We are seeking a qualified Art Therapist to provide short term weekly art or creative therapy groups in person and online as part of our peer‑led Trans Counselling Service, to allow participants to explore themes and issues within a trans‑affirmative environment. Themes will centre on body, emotional regulation, self‑image and self‑care.
This will include promoting and enrolling participants for the groups, overseeing client intake, and maintaining a waiting list. Along with managing clinical admin, session notes, wellbeing measures, evaluation of groups including case studies and input into reporting.
The role and you:
* You will be part of a wider counselling service encompassing Sexual Health counselling, Counselling for those engaged with sex work, LGBTQ+ Youth counselling, Trans counselling, Youth Counselling Project and Psychosexual Counselling.
* The Trans Counselling Service also sits within the broader Trans Empowerment Programme at Spectra, which offers additional services in addition to counselling to empower and support trans, non‑binary, and gender‑questioning individuals to improve their health and wellbeing, including Peer Mentoring, Social Groups, and Community Participation Groups. The Trans Counselling Service operates across London, both in person and online.
* We are seeking a compassionate, creative, and dynamic art therapist who practices with integrity and embodies Spectra’s values. You are someone who is skilled in creative problem‑solving, identifying and responding to the needs of the trans community, and leading and developing projects.
* As Spectra utilise a peer delivery model, you will have lived experience of the issues facing trans non‑binary communities.

Location: Spectra Offices, China Works, Black Prince Road, London, SE1 7SJ, with flexible home‑working and potential for in‑person delivery in other London venues (expectation to be in office one day every two weeks).
