Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced IT Field Engineer to join our technical team, supporting customers on-site and working closely with our service desk.
The Role
As an MSP Field Engineer, you will be responsible for providing on‑site IT/Telecoms support, installations, and project work for our customers. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands‑on, customer‑facing, and working across a varied technical environment.
You will be provided with a company van and will be based primarily out in the field, with some work at our Peterborough office when required.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide on-site IT support to Swiftcomm customers
* Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and end‑user devices
* Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
* Carry out IT project work including office moves, system upgrades, and deployments
* Work closely with the service desk to resolve escalated incidents
* Maintain accurate documentation and job notes
* Deliver a professional and customer‑focused service at all times
What We’re Looking For
* Previous experience working for an MSP in a field‑based role
* Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and networking
* Confident working independently and managing your own workload
* Full UK driving licence
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Ability to work flexibly, with overtime available when required
