For an application form please email us : enquiry@thepump.org.uk Supporting the Programme Manager and our school partners to provide accredited, motivating and stimulating, educational and personal development opportunities for young people attending our Alternative Provision programme. on a Monday Tuesday Wednesday and Friday 09:30 – 14:30 with potential to grow as the service develops term time. In addition, supporting our youth work offer outside of term time. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Build positive relationships with young people building respect and tolerance of others. Challenge discriminatory language and behaviour, creating culture of tolerance /unity Work with visiting schools to the Pump offering participative and dynamic sessions to motivate young people to re-engage in learning and gain accreditation. Work within NCFE qualification criteria, where appropriate, ensuring high quality learning is offered with individual needs accommodated were required and al quality assurance is met. To work with schools-based team to reflect on practice, revieing contract /SLA compliance, areas for development and other routes for accreditation and learning. Create and implement ongoing monitoring and evaluation to track and share achievements of students with schools, parents and young people’s success is celebrated. Design schemes of work that enable young people to increase their personal development, a willingness to learn and develop their employability, including their technical skills, functional skills, social skills and communication skills. Work directly with visiting schools to create and develop programme plans that meet both individual needs and school objectives. Ensure quality assurance. and student progress is met, celebrated and shared, with any areas for improvement being actioned. To support the Pumps wider offer and complement the multi-agency hub model of operation. Become familiar and skilled with our Creative Spaces to maximise opportunities for young people and devise new areas of work. E.g., and Makerspace. To engage with young people to learn the technical skills required, navigating the range of software to produce their own music Where appropriate, represent The Pump at partnership meetings/external forums. E.g. East Birmingham sharing panel To create a culture of safe space and work within our safeguarding policy ensuring all issues are reported, recording and actioned, in line with our policy and good practice. Supporting our holiday provision throughout the year, as an when required.
