Job Description
The Private Banking Manager will have a strong focus on lending (mortgages), wealth and deposit growth, and managing all aspects of the customer relationship within the portfolio, including including preparation of credit applications and ensuring our clients have full knowledge of the Bank's services.
3. Manage and grow a portfolio of high-net-worth clients, ensuring their financial needs are met with tailored solutions.
4. Provide expert advice on a range of private banking products and services, including lending and investment opportunities.
5. Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and trust.
6. Proactively identify opportunities to grow the portfolio through networking and referrals.
7. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
8. Monitor and manage financial risks associated with client portfolios.
9. Stay updated with industry regulations and ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
10. Prepare detailed client reports and maintain accurate records of interactions and transactions.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Private Banking Manager should have:
11. Proven expertise in private banking, wealth management, or a related field within financial services.
12. Proven experience of managing a customer portfolio, largely of professionals, business owners and high net worth individuals, ideally within a relationship-focused banking model, brokerage, independent financial advisory (IFA) or similar financial background.
13. Familiarity with local market dynamics, professionals, existing broker networks
14. A strong understanding of banking and financial products, including lending and investments.
15. Experince of writing credit proposals and assessing credit worthiness
16. Exceptional relationship management and interpersonal skills.
17. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to provide tailored solutions to clients.
18. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
19. A client-focused approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
20. Professional qualifications in finance or banking are desirable.
