Maths Teacher - SEMH School
We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Maths Teacher to join our specialist SEMH school. This is a rewarding opportunity to support young people with social, emotional and mental health needs to rebuild confidence in their learning and achieve meaningful academic progress. You will deliver engaging, adaptive Maths lessons that meet students' individual needs while fostering a structured, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
Working within a trauma-informed setting, you will play a key role in raising numeracy standards, promoting positive behaviour, and helping students develop both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver differentiated Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4, tailored to individual learning and SEMH needs.
Build strong, positive relationships that encourage engagement and resilience in learning.
Adapt teaching strategies to support students with EHCPs and additional needs.
Monitor progress closely, using data and targeted interventions to improve outcomes.
Contribute to a safe, nurturing, and inclusive school culture.
Work collaboratively with pastoral, SEND, and therapeutic teams. The Successful Candidate Will:
Hold QTS (essential).
Have experience teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4.
Have experience working with SEND and/or SEMH learners (desirable).
Demonstrate strong classroom management and relationship-building skills.
Be patient, adaptable, and committed to inclusive practice.
