SEN Teacher\nLocation: Uxbridge, West London\nStart Date: September 2025\nHours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, Term Time Only\n\nSalary: Pay to teacher pay scale\n\nUET1\n\nAre you a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher ready to lead a team and make a meaningful impact on the lives of children with complex needs?\n\nA specialist SEN school in Uxbridge is seeking a dedicated and skilled SEN Teacher to join their high-performing team from September. The school provides a tailored, therapeutic, and highly supportive environment for students with severe and complex learning difficulties, sensory processing needs, and communication challenges.\n\nThis is an exciting opportunity to take on a lead role within the classroom while working collaboratively with a skilled multi-disciplinary team. NQT’s with SEN experience are welcome to apply.\n\nAbout the Role\nAs an SEN Teacher, you will:\n\n· Plan and deliver personalised, engaging lessons based on individual cognitive, sensory, and communication profiles\n\n· Lead a class team of support staff to ensure consistency and a child-centred approach across all activities\n\n· Work closely with therapists and specialists to embed therapeutic strategies into daily routines\n\n· Use a wide range of AAC systems, including both high-tech tools (apps/devices) and low-tech supports (PECS, Sign-Along, visual aids)\n\n· Build strong, trust-based relationships with parents and contribute to effective home–school communication\n\n· Play an active role in EHCP processes, including writing reports and attending annual reviews\n\nCandidate Requirements:\n\n· Holds QTS or equivalent and has substantial experience teaching in SEN settings (special school experience preferred)\n\n· Is highly confident in using AAC systems, including both digital and manual forms\n\n· Has a deep understanding of complex learning needs, sensory processing differences, and PBS (Positive Behaviour Support)\n\n· Can confidently lead a classroom team and model high standards of teaching, care, and communication\n\n· Is comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary environment and embedding therapy into learning\n\n· Has strong experience working with families and contributing to EHCP reviews and target setting\n\nAbout Us\nUniform Education is a specialist recruitment agency with 10 years of experience supporting mainstream and special education schools.
